From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers beat and breadth. There is franchise muscle where it helps, creative ambition where it counts, and a calendar that shows studios know when and how to deliver scares. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one eleventh-hour specialty buy join the party. For now, the job is simple, edit tight trailers, hold the mystery, and let the shocks sell the seats.
